Valdis Celms and Ieva Alksne exhibition “Archeology of Kinetics”

12.11.-12.12.2016.

In cooperation with the Latvian Center for Contemporary Art, the exhibition “Archeology of Kinetics” by artist Valdis Celms and restorer Ieva Alksne will be opened. The exposition is designed as an open laboratory, which intriguingly shows the creation of kinetic art in the 60s and 70s in Latvia and the problems of its preservation today. The scenography of the exhibition was created by the designer Rihards Funts (“Rijada”) as a creative dialogue between the authors. Curator of the exhibition - art scientist Ieva Astahovska.
