On 13 August at 5.00 PM, we invite you to a guided tour of Jeļena Glazova’s exhibition “A MAN SURNAMED UNIVERSE” with the artist and curator Igors Gubenko. The event will continue with the artist’s performance My Language.
The performance “My Language” draws on Ludwig Wittgenstein’s philosophy of language and G. W. F. Hegel’s master–slave dialectic. Using quotations from Wittgenstein’s “Tractatus Logico-Philosophicus” alongside BDSM imagery and props, the artist explores the possibilities and limits of language. In the performance, language emerges both as a form of power and as a means of investigating power relations.
